Review: Fable 2

It's been too long since I've posted anything... and that's mainly the fault of Fable 2. Even though there are many broken promises in this game, I can't help but be drawn in by it's charm. The World of Fable is a place I like to spend time in, just... to be there. It whisks me away to world that seems so innocent, not a care in the world for it's inhabitants. What is it about this place? It's not the combat, it's not the graphics. So what? I'm not sure. I spent countless hours buying all the property in the world for the sole purpose of having villagers call me Queen (yes I played as a woman). Maybe it's a game for the OCD in all of us. I really don't know how to review this game. There's nothing I loved and some things I hated (what's the point of online play if you can't play as the character you've spent all this time crafting?). But I kept finding myself coming back.

When I played the 1st Fable, I felt with some improvement it could be the greatest game of it's kind. A tweak here, a tweak there, it would do wonders.Well, Fable 2 isn't that game... but there's always Fable 3.
